Will people have to get used to living without bananas?

Many researchers around the planet are already looking for ways to deal with the problem. Some are trying to make the variety resistant to TR4 through genetic modifications or find a replacement with immunity. Others create a “graft” by transplanting tissue from one tree to another to change characteristics. Still others propose to apply natural selection.

There are those who believe that all these methods will be ineffective in the long run. And the only right thing would be to move away from monoculture and breed many different varieties of bananas. However, this will lead to a significant increase in their price.
